Andrea and Christian grew up in a town called Sycamore in DeKalb, IL. They really wanted to incorporate some of their favorite places in DeKalb into their engagement shoot. It was so much fun to shoot somewhere different for a change. On my drive to Sycamore I passed up acres of beautiful farmland.  Andrea and Christian told me that they have some of this richest soil for farming out in Dekalb.

We started off their session at NIU Art Museum. Although we didn't get to explore inside the museum, we had fun outside. Christian enjoys great architecture and NIU's English Castle inspired architecture did not disappoint. Luck was on our side, because we managed to dodge the morning rain and were greeted by overcast skies at the Elwood House Museum. Another beautiful mansion built in the late 1800's.

I can't wait for Andrea and Christian's wedding this fall, it will surely be a great one!
