Sally and Luke Fall Engagement Session | 1920's Family Home | Palatine, IL
Where do I start? I met Sally and Luke at a wedding that I was documenting. Shot out to Abby and Tom!! Sally and Luke were in their bridal party and are all great friends!
Our initial plans were to have Sally and Luke’s shoot at Road America Raceway. Sally’s family holds an Indy Party every year, so what better way to celebrate their engagement than a race track! Well, the rain Gods had other plans for these two and we had to come up with a new location. We still wanted to incorporate within their engagement shoot parts of their relationship that held a strong meaning for them.
We decided on having their shoot at Sally’s family home, which was built in the 1920’s and is where she grew up. It’s also where Luke proposed! It could not get any better than this. Sally’s dad was in the distance cooking up some turkey, so their home was filled with an aroma of fresh garlic and herbs. He kindly let us roam around their beautiful home and even let us play with his antique car collection. Dad even lit the fireplace for us to close out their session.
Sally and Luke, thank you for choosing me as your photographer. It has been such an honor to spend time with you both and I absolutely cannot wait for your big day! I cannot wait for your wedding next year at Prairie Street Brewhouse!
